Almost everyone comes home from London with four hundred phone photos, a few bad selfies and not one good picture of the two of them together. One hour with us costs about the same as a guided walk and leaves you with the photo you’d otherwise never have: both of you in the frame, in London, looking like yourselves. The kind you print, not just post.

How it feels

You show up a little stiff, unsure what to do with your hands. That part is on us. Your photographer tells you where to stand, where to look, when to walk, and about ten minutes in you forget the camera is there.

We’re Julia and Anatoly

We started this after coming home from our own trips with four hundred phone photos and not one good one of the two of us. Friends asked us to fix that for them, then friends of friends. Since 2018 it has been our whole job.

Before you ask

Half an hour is £150, one hour is £250, two hours £500. Every session includes the planned route, full direction during the shoot, hand-edited photos in a private gallery and behind-the-scenes videos. A £50 deposit holds the date and the rest is paid on the day.

One hour covers three or four backdrops inside a ten-minute walk — that is the session most people book. Half an hour covers one spot and a quick set. Two hours covers two areas of the city with an outfit change in between.

The first hour after sunrise, because the light is low and the landmarks are empty. In December that means being at Westminster around 8am; in June it means before 5am, so most summer bookings take the last hour before sunset instead. The phone boxes on Westminster Bridge have a queue by 9am year-round.

We shoot anyway, and we plan the route around shelter. The arches under Westminster Bridge, Borough Market and the museum entrances in Kensington all work in the wet, umbrellas are in the bag, and wet pavement reflects the lights. If the forecast turns genuinely severe we move you to another slot for free.

For about ten minutes, and then it stops. You are told where to stand, what to do with your hands and where to look for the whole session, so there is nothing to work out. We start you walking rather than standing still, because that is the part people find easiest.

We agree a meeting point in advance — usually a landmark you cannot miss — and send you a map pin the day before. Your photographer messages you on WhatsApp that morning, so you have a direct line if a train is late or the weather turns.

Whatever you would wear to a nice dinner, in plain colours rather than big patterns, with both of you at a similar level of dress. A good coat is an outfit in itself in London, and in winter it will be in most of the frames. A short guide arrives once you book.

An hour usually produces 50 to 70 edited photographs, two hours 100 to 140. Behind-the-scenes clips reach your phone the same evening, and the full edited gallery arrives within one week, ready to download, print and share. Files are full size with no watermark and commercial use included.

Yes, with the two-hour session. One hour is deliberately built around a single area, because crossing London eats the time you paid for. Two hours covers something like Westminster and Notting Hill, with a change of clothes on the way.

Yes. Greenwich, Hampstead Heath, Little Venice, Notting Hill and Kensington are all regular locations, and we can meet you at your hotel or the flat you have rented. Anything beyond the M25 is quoted separately.

Yes, and we do it often. We agree the spot and a signal in advance, wait out of sight with a long lens, and photograph the moment from the first knee to the reaction. Afterwards we spend the rest of the hour on a couple session, and nothing is published anywhere until you tell us the surprise has happened.

Yes — a registry office, a church, a dinner afterwards. Those are quoted for the hours you need rather than by the session, so send the date and the rough schedule and we will come back with a price.

Sunrise slots and weekends go first, so a week or two of notice is comfortable in winter and worth more in summer. If your dates are tight, message us anyway — a lot of sessions are booked two or three days out.

Tell us and we move the date, at no cost. Cancel more than seven days before and the deposit is refunded in full. Flights get delayed and trips get rearranged; it is not a problem we need to make yours.
